About Non-Denominational Pentecostal Churches
Non-denominational Pentecostal churches are independent churches that combine local church autonomy with Pentecostal theology and worship practices. These churches generally emphasize the work of the Holy Spirit, prayer, evangelism, worship, revival, and spiritual gifts.
Compared to many broader non-denominational evangelical churches, non-denominational Pentecostal churches often place much greater emphasis on continuationism, meaning the belief that miraculous spiritual gifts described in the New Testament continue today. This can include practices such as speaking in tongues, healing ministries, prophetic ministry, and more expressive or emotionally energetic worship services.
Because these churches are independent, theology and ministry style can still vary considerably between congregations.
